New York, NY | Museum of Modern Art
The Lewis B. and Dorothy Cullman Education and Research Building 4 West 54 Street
MAC collaborates with the Hearing Loss Association of America’s New York Chapter to present a foundation of knowledge on hearing loss, recommendations of the recent National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine report, and how museums and theaters can best serve the needs of guests who are hard-of-hearing.
Whether you are just beginning to learn about the differences between FM, IR and loop systems for assistive listening devices, or are seeking to bring your institution’s programs to the next level with CART, this session will provide an introduction to the science and opportunities to test technology.
Accessibility: All spaces are wheelchair accessible and the theater is equipped with induction loops that transmit directly to hearing aids with T-Coils. Assistive Listening Devices are available in all breakout spaces. CART is available in the theater, and upon request in the classrooms.
To request ASL interpretation or CART, please register by Monday, September 5 and indicate this on your registration form.
