Building Social and Vocational Skills for Teens and Young Adults with Autism through Art – based Workshops – Teens and Young Adults Ages 13 -21

Program Dates: Tuesdays  4:00-5:15 $250.00 for 10 sessions

September 27, October 25, December 6, December 20, April 4, May 2, 16 & 30, June 6 & 13

During this workshop series, teens will receive hands on training in basic artistic processes that can be translated into practical job skills. Based on current exhibitions in the galleries at Nassau County Museum of Art, these workshops will encourage participants to explore different methods of art making and design and how a museum can be a resource for creative inspiration. Students with autism will have the opportunity to apply their artistic skills and functional academic learning in a real world setting, while preparing to transition to after school life.
