5:00 – 7:00 PM
ART NY Mezzanine Theatre
502 West 53rd Street
New York, NY 10019
This event, hosted in partnership between MAC and ART NY, will give NYC theaters the opportunity to engage with each other to advance accessibility.
Attendees will first learn about the Museum Access Consortium and how it can support their work, then hear about best practices from a panel of theatremakers from The Lark, Queens Theatre, and other NYC theaters. The workshop will end with attendees participating in small group discussions to talk about visions for including individuals with disabilities in all areas of their theaters’ work.
This event will be held in a wheelchair accessible space. Assisted listening devices are available. ASL-interpretation and CART are available upon request, in advance of the workshop by the deadline listed. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with questions or requests for accommodations by January 17, 2018.
